Capt. Jerry Lucas

47 of New Carlisle, OH passed away Wednesday, September 25, 1996 at 8:50 a.m. after a short illness, with family members present at his home. He was born October 19, 1948; in Springfield, Ohio the son of Harold and Mildred (Millie) McPherson Lucas. In addition to his parents of New Carlisle, OH his as survived by a daughter, Tracy L. Lucas and her husband Tim Jones both of the United States Army stationed at Ft. Hood, TX; one stepson, one stepdaughter; brother, D. R. Lucas of Springfield, Ohio, fiancé, Sharon Miller of Dayton, OH; sister Linda Goenner and her husband, Mike of New Carlisle; special friend Sandra Campbell of Dayton, Ohio; special aunt Margie McPerson Parrill of Springfield, Ohio; Many nieces; nephews; and cousins. He would like to acknowledge the many members of the New Carlisle Fire Department/EMS for being the most important part of his live for 20 years, the staff associates and workers at Rust Industrial or 10 years. Jerry was associated with the New Carlisle Fire Department/EMS, Rust Industrial Services, Security National Bank, Springfield Clark County HAZ-MAT, and the Clark County Fireman’s Association. The family will receive friends at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN & CHRISTMAS FUNERAL HOME New Carlisle, Sunday from 2-8 p.m. with the services at 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 30, 1996 in the First United Methodist Church, South Main St., New Carlisle with Rev. Thomas H. Maxedon, Jr. and Rev. Dick McDaniels officiating. Burial will follow in t Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Fireman services will be held at 12 noon Monday at the funer home.
